The HELM entrusts CyanView RCPs for prime-time productions

Sydney, Australia – 28th August, 2024 – Since the start of 2024, Sydney-based international production powerhouse The HELM has integrated CyanView RCPs across various high-profile productions, ensuring consistent and seamless camera control, continuing to set the standard in delivering cutting-edge technology solutions for major events and broadcasts.

One of these productions was Fox’s “The Quiz with Balls”, a new prime-time gameshow produced by Eureka Productions. Featuring a mix of 14 Panasonic AW-UE150 PTZ cameras and traditional broadcast cameras, The HELM was able to design, manage, and deliver technical solutions that provided the engineering team with the means to use the same controls throughout their range of cameras through the introduction of the CyanView RCP, maximising productivity whilst minimising labour on the show’s robust set.

The HELM leverages CyanView’s technology to ensure perfect alignment of specialty cameras on top-tier productions and to enhance the shading of their primary Cameras and D-Cinema setups. The RCPs deliver significant improvements in both setup efficiency and operational quality.

CyanView’s RCP is a versatile multi-camera control panel, designed to provide precise shading for a wide range of camera brands and types used in broadcasting. With its combination of physical dials and buttons and a responsive touchscreen, the RCP offers users immediate control over critical camera settings, enabling effortless matching of cameras across a production.

The system’s tight integration with routers and switchers allows for management of multiple cameras from a single RCP, with no restrictions on the number of supported devices. CyanView’s comprehensive technology suite includes features such as tally, wireless and Wi-Fi connectivity, remote production capabilities, pan-tilt head and gimbal control, and motorised lens operation.

“We need to remain flexible and responsive in our productions where technical and visual demands vary greatly from one project to the next,” said Josh Moffat, CEO of The HELM. “CyanView’s RCPs not only simplify the work for our operators, but also offer compatibility with a wide range of cameras. The decision to invest in CyanView has certainly paid off.”

Patrick Salloch, Managing Director of Professional Audio & Television, CyanView’s partner in Australia and New Zealand, added, “We’re thrilled that The HELM has chosen CyanView RCPs for their world-class productions. They join a growing list of esteemed production companies worldwide who depend on CyanView’s versatile and flexible solutions for cutting-edge productions.”
